AU WA A186 - MUNDARING POLICE STATION
(1898-03-01 -)
Administrative history
Following the townsite survey of Mundaring in 1898, Lot 47 was set aside for police purposes. However, activity at the Mundaring Weir site led the police to initially set up temporary quarters there until the Water Supply Scheme reached completion. The Police camp then shifted to the York Rd reserve being housed in an "unsightly ramshackle" building. A new police station was built in 1906 which lasted until the 1970's when a more modern station was erected.
