Administrative history

Prior to 1914, the Municipality of Leederville acted under its own Council. In November 1914, the Councils of Perth, North Perth and Leederville agreed to the union of these three Municipalities on the lines laid down in the Municipal Corporations Act 1906. The union was effected on the 22 December 1914.

Entries in the Rate Books are by Ward and give: Surname, Given Name, Occupation, Owner's Name, Improvements, Street Name, Lot No., Rate.

Between 1908 and 1914, the Municipality of Leederville operated under its own Council. The Municipality of Leederville amalgamated with the City of Perth on 22 December 1914. The Rate Books covering the 1908-1914 period then came into the custody of the City of Perth.
